Santiago. A man with a criminal record was shot to death after an alleged confrontation with preventive and criminal investigation members of the National Policeduring an operation carried out in a wooded area of the Las Flores sector, in the municipality of Constanza, province of La Vega.
The deceased was identified as Carlos Julio Perdomo Fernandez, nicknamed “El Bato”, 38 years old, whose body was raised in the presence of the medical examiner and a representative of the Public Ministry.

The Police said that the deceased today was wanted with an arrest warrant for alleged assault on Anyolino Durán Delgado, who was recently robbed of two cell phones and cash.

The body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) of the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, for the corresponding legal purposes.
