In the last 24 hours, 5 people have lost their lives due to Covid-19

The Epidemiology Department of the Ministry of Health reported that for this Friday, June 24, five (5) new deaths have been registered in Panama, which correspond to the last 24 hours; for 8,340 accumulated deaths and a lethality that remains at 0.9%. The report also shows that to date there are 912, 348 accumulated cases of Covid-19, of which 1,826 are new positive cases today.

The total number of people recovered from the disease amounts to 887,913, of which 2,484 are newly recovered. 9,484 new tests were applied for a positivity of 19.3%.

Active cases total 16,095 throughout the country. 15,875 are in home isolation and 220 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 15,859 at home and 16 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 183 Ward and 37 in ICU.

The districts with the highest number of positive cases of Covid-19 today are: Bethania with 79 cases; San Francisco (Panama) 75 cases; December 24 with 70 cases; Juan Díaz (Panama) with 68 cases and Rufina Alfaro with 56 cases; according to the report of the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
