Gabriel Medina starred in the negative note of the day, as he fell, still in the repechage, when he was surpassed by the Australian Collum Robson by 15.57 to 10.37. In the dispute, the three-time world champion suffered an injury to his right knee while trying to complete a backside.
Also in the repechage, Caio Ibelli received the first grade 10 of the current edition of the Rio Pro when completing a right barrel in the dispute with Jadson André. Much as a result of this maneuver, the paulista won the potiguar by 14.43 to 8.83.
