The National Institute against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism (INADI) reported this Thursday of a theft of work material, notebooks and desktop PCs at its headquarters in the City of Buenos Aires that would have occurred in the early hours of the morning.
The agency pointed out that, in addition, various pieces of furniture were broken, damaged and scrambled, which must be repaired.
The statement emphasizes that “although the facts are not yet clarified, the situation puts on alert the safety and working conditions of the Institute’s workersas well as open doubts about the reasons for the intrusion by unknown persons who traveled at least two floors of the building for tens of minutes.”
“Unfortunately, the robbery of a public body for the defense of human rights it cannot be read innocently; even less so in a context of growing media and political operations against INADI particularly”, considers the note.
“We hope that the fact will be quickly clarified. Know that we are not going to give up on our task,” the statement concludes.
