The streets will be safer, 449 new police officers graduate from ISPOL

A total of 449 new police officers join the public force this Thursday after they received their diplomas that accredit them as agents of the 95 “Titans” class during the morning.

At the graduation ceremony, which took place at the Belisario Porras Higher Police Institute (ISPOL), in Gamboa, the diploma of Higher Public Security Technicians was awarded to 410 men and 39 women. This group of agents becomes part of the work team of the National Police.

These 449 men and women were prepared for eight months in police procedures and with a rigorous academic system based on competencies, public management and strengthening of the most important values ​​such as ethics, conduct and respect for human rights, this is a profession of service that is of the utmost importance for our country and therefore they must offer an adequate service to citizens.

This ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, who told the new members that “each one of you voluntarily chose this noble profession that requires a high degree of integrity, honesty, commitment, discipline, and respect for the constitution and laws.” .

Similarly, the director of the National Police John Dornheim also expressed a few words of encouragement and exhortation to “Take care of their names and that of their families and, above all, comply with the oath to protect and serve”

So far in 2022, two graduation ceremonies have already been held in our country, and since 1990, the Belisario Porras Superior Police Institution (ISPOL) has graduated 4,701 police officers.
