Gustavo Sandoval, deputy director of Civil Aviation Security of the National Directorate of Civil Aviation (Dinac), recently dismissed for the Venezuelan-Iranian cargo plane case, affirmed that other institutions are in charge of primary controls. With this, he disclaimed Dinac’s responsibilities regarding the flight with a terrorist crew that arrived in the country in mid-May.
“Dinac has already fulfilled its part. People from Immigration and the National Intelligence Secretariat (SNI) have access to the list of entrants, those are the queries they have to make », she expressed in an interview with Radio Monumental 1080 AM.
He regretted that Dinac is being charged with a serious situation since said entity is accused of collaborating with organized crime and terrorism.
“We should receive information from institutions. We feel a little overwhelmed because they say that we did not do the things that we should do when it is evident that we did. We alert. First Customs to us and then we to other institutions. If they gave me the order, I would have alerted the SNI. I put myself at the disposal of the MP who examines my phone », he expressed.
He stated that there was no irregularity at the time of arrival.
“We are civilians and they have to alert us. In the Interpol database, there is no arrest warrant,” he finally said.
