The Credit Committee of the National Council for the Regulation and Promotion of the Dairy Industry (withmilk), has approved this year 173 loans, for an amount of more than 223 million pesos.
The loans, which have been approved in the three committees carried out this 2022, have been granted to ranchersprocessors, associations and federations belonging to the withmilk.
Through a statement, the withmilk He explains that the money will be used for the purchase of cattle, improvement of farms, acquisition of equipment and promotion of pasture, which will have a positive impact on the national milk production.
Only in the committee held last April, 79 million 224,610 pesos were approved, out of a total of 64 loans granted.
In addition to the loans, training workshops will continue for rancherswith which they seek to improve milk production on their farms.
Miguel Laureano, executive director of the withmilkrecalled that one of the priorities of Law 180-01 is to promote the development of national livestock through loans, so this is being achieved through the Credit Committee of the withmilk.
“The field is changing and our sector too, thanks to the support it has received from the Government. We are transforming the dairy sector, becoming more sustainable and facing the difficulties that climate change presents us,” he said.
The Credit Committee meets every 45 days and is headed by the executive director of the withmilk.
