Agents attached to the Miranda state police captured Brayan Enrique Ibarra Matos, who allegedly stabbed his 53-year-old mother Katiuska Matos around 10 times, according to police reports.
The son’s attack on his mother occurred early this Wednesday in a building located in the Roma building, El Encanto residences, which is in Los Teques (Miranda).
The lady was transferred to the Victorino Santaella hospital located in the Mirandina capital. Neighbors heard the commotion in the apartment where the incident occurred.
In another incident, an itinerant fruit vendor died after being shot in the back allegedly by a subject when the worker was passing through the La Coromoto neighborhood, Libertador municipality, Caracas, according to reports.
The victim is Yandi Manuel Álvarez (28), who was attacked by two subjects last Monday afternoon. Neighbors took him to the Miguel Pérez Carreño hospital early Tuesday morning.
His relatives told journalists at the Bello Monte morgue that his death occurred in the middle of a police operation carried out in the aforementioned sector of Caracas.
