They ask the MOP to intervene so that companies can hire local labor for a project in the Antón district

The representatives of the corregimiento of the district of Antón met in the ordinary session of the Municipal Council, where they gave courtesy to officials of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) of the Coclesana region, there they asked the officials to speed up the projects, since that more than 80 million dollars are going to be invested in the district of Antón in highway projects.

Iveth Navas, representative of the district of Rio Hato, pointed out that they also asked the MOP to be an intermediary so that these companies that are going to build and are building projects in the Antón district take into account the workforce of the area.

The representative said that she presented the concern to the authorities that the companies bring personnel from another place to develop the projects, while there are unemployed people in the sector. She considered that companies should hire local people to reactivate the economy so they can bring a livelihood to their homes.

It should be noted that the representatives of other districts indicated that they will also be supervisory entities so that these projects, in the Antón district, are carried out without any type of delay or inconvenience.
