A note from the Cuban News Agency (ACN) informs that the race and walk for Olympic Day will be held in Cuba next Saturday, June 25, under the auspices of the Cuban Olympic Committee (COC) and the National Commission of Races and walks Marabana-Maracuba (CNCC).
Carlos Gattorno, director of the CNCC, said that that same day the inscriptions will start at 8:00 am An hour later the start will be made.
He added that, in the case of the capital, the place to register will be Parque 13 de Marzo. The start and finish will be in the parking lot next to the Museum of the Revolution.
Children, youth, adults and older adults, as well as members of associations for the disabled, may participate in the event.
In Havana, the route will be through Avenida de las Misiones, Cárcel, San Lázaro, Galiano, San Rafael, Prado, Cárcel, Zulueta, until reaching the finish line.
According to Gattorno, in the provincial capitals and their municipalities, the routes will be those established for popular races and walks.
He announced that runners and walkers will be able to publish their work in the Facebook group @andarinescubanos, and the provincial and municipal officials of the CNC can also do so.
