Despite the fact that coronavirus infections have begun to decline in much of the country, the Government of Formosa announced that it will reinforce its vaccination campaign to prevent the spread of the virus.
For this reason, as of this Tuesday, in the province booster doses will begin to be administered for all those over 18, as confirmed by the Ministry of Human Development of Formosa.
The measure will be effective in all fixed vaccination centers in the capital of Formosa and in health centers and hospitals in the interior of the province, so that all citizens can access reinforcement.
In this regard, Mario Romero Bruno, a member of the COVID 19 Council of the province, maintained that “it is about the inoculation of the third and fourth dose to be able to improve the sanitary statebecause we know that there is an increase in cases throughout the national territory and, therefore, also in the province.”
The specialist also added that it is “essential that as many people as possible are vaccinated, so damage to individual and community health can be avoided.”
This strategy is added to the campaigns developed by the Government to promote vaccination, because, since last week, they began to give talks in schools to make the educational community aware of the importance of getting vaccinated.
So far, in Formosa, 99% of the population has received the first dose, 91.68% received the second, 71% received the third and 37.96% received the second booster, explained Romero Bruno.
