Digicel inspector: ‘The service continues to be provided in optimal conditions’

He stressed that the entire recharge distribution system was activated, that all stores were open, call centers and service centers were operating.

Axel Anel Arroyo, controller at Digicel, referred to the progress in the intervention process in view of the exit of the Digicel company in Panama, stating that in this first stage they worked on reestablishing the entire service.

He stressed that the entire recharge distribution system was activated, that all stores were open, call centers and customer service centers were operating, so the network and service are being provided in optimal conditions.

He said that the first negative impact was that users understood that the service was not going to continue and decided to migrate to other operators.

“This process tries to assure customers that the service continues on a regular basis. We sat down with Digicel’s creditors and told them what the process consisted of so that it would not be interrupted under any circumstances. We reached agreements with providers on how to handle the debt that was had, so that the service could continue on a regular basis,” he explained.
