The Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin) set new dates for the entry into force of the sale of only two types of gasoline: regular and premium.
The decision was made by Resolution of the OSINERGMIN Board of Directors No. 133-2022-OS/CD, published today in the official newspaper El Peruano.
The Osinergmin establishes that the gasoline and gasohol 84 tanks must exhaust their stocks until August 29, 2022. That is, from August 30 the two new types of fuel must be sold.
As for the Order Order Control System (SCOP), as of July 31, no retail establishment will have octane gasoline or gasoholes configured in this system, with the exception of those located in Amazonas, Loreto, Madre de Dios and San Martín, authorized to acquire and store 84 octane gasoline, and that will maintain the configuration in the SCOP until June 30, 2023.
Order orders for gasoline and gasohol identified by octane rating, managed by Retail Establishments, which at 00:00 hours on July 31, 2022 are in the SCOP in the “SOLICITED” state, will be automatically canceled by the system.
Order orders for gasoline and gasohol identified by octane rating, which at 00:00 hours on July 31, 2022 are in the SCOP in the status “SOLD” or TO BE “SHIPPED”, will be automatically canceled by the system at 00:00 hours on August 03, 2002.
The Government established a new nomenclature for the fuel. Regular gasoline has a minimum octane rating of 90 octane. Meanwhile, premium gasoline will have a minimum octane rating of 95 octane.
