Police accused of raping a minor at the Cusco police station are sent to prison

The Cusco Superior Court of Justice recently ordered preventive detention for a period of nine months to an active law enforcement officer, accused of the alleged crime of rape and inappropriate touching of a minor, who had just gone to the police station to report an attempted street rape.

After being preliminarily detained, the SO1 PNP Silder Paz, was sentenced to preventive detention in the middle of the investigation that he is followed for allegedly having abused a teenager inside the Cusco Police Station, where he works.

The events date back to last week, when a minor under 17 years of age appeared at the facilities of the aforementioned police post to denounce that she was kidnapped, tied up and almost abused in the center of Cusco by a group of three people from whom she was able to flee.

According to the victim’s lawyer, the minor was assisted by SO1 PNP Silder Paz of the Misdemeanors and Crimes Section, who forced her to go to the toilets, where he would have stripped her of her intimate garments to proceed with the alleged rape and improper touching.

Faced with this, the Prosecutor’s Office requested the preventive detention of the accused, a request that was granted. and in the next few hours the law enforcement officer will be jailed during the investigation against him.
