Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Education reported this Monday that the three students who were recorded dancing urban music in their underwear in a classroom of an educational center in Los Guaricanos, will not be expelled, but will complete the school year from their homes.
The controversy generated by the audiovisual of the three adolescents, caused representatives of the Ministry of Education, the authorities of the Mauricio Báez Community School and the parents of the students involved to meet to take action on the situation, so that events of this type do not repeat
At the meeting it was explained that the students are affected by the video that went viral on social networks, so the school’s Department of Psychology is already providing assistance.
The director of the Department of Psychology of Regional 10, Dominga Mosquea Sosa, expressed that in this process it is essential to guarantee the integrity and emotional health of those involved.
He added that the action committed by the students is due to a lack of maturity and little control of social networks.
“That is the sad reality of our children and adolescents, where there is an overflow of situations that arise due to the lack of control of social networks and today we are saddened by the situation and the most important thing is that our children who must protect their image and his integrity,” Mosquea said.

For his part, Ramón Ruiz deputy director of the School Police, explained that together with the management team of the center they will check the students’ backpacks to ensure that they only carry their school supplies.
“We are going to try to find a way to check the backpacks with the school management team so that objects that are not part of the teaching system are not allowed to enter,” he said.
The school authorities called on parents to get involved in the guidance and education of their children.
