CDMX experiences a rebound in COVID-19 cases without an increase in sanitary measures

In the last week, the day with the most new cases was June 13 with 2,920, when 667 had been registered a day earlier.

The head of government, Claudia Sheinbuam, clarified this Monday that despite the rebound so far, there are no plans to tighten the measures to reduce infections.

“Until now there has been no such guidance. It is obviously important to take care of ourselves, my personal case is one of theirs, we have to take care of ourselves. But so far the Mexico City health committee has not established any additional action, ”he indicated at a press conference.

Since April 1, the capital government withdrew the recommendation for the use of face masks in open spaces and has even held massive events such as the Silvio Rodríguez concert with around 100,000 attendees on June 10, as well as 14,299 people in a massive class of box to establish a Guinness World Record on June 18, both in the Zócalo.
