Abinader urges the PRM to work to repeat the victory in 2024

The president of the Republic, Louis Abinaderexhorted this Sunday to the militants of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) to continue working to repeat the victory in the 2024 elections.

«My congratulations to José Ignacio, Carolina Mejía, all the elected presidents and vice presidents. keep working as you did to repeat the triumph in 2024. I want to congratulate each of the members of the PRM for their display of maturity and supporter but above all for their responsibility”, he expressed while stressing that the PRM has always defended the values ​​of justice, unity, discipline and transparency.

He argued that this organization should feel proud of all the achievements they are making to improve the conditions of Dominicans and the construction of a better country, through the ideals of the late political leader José Francisco Peña Gómez.

He assured that the PRM remains opposed to the corruption and mismanagement of the nation’s public funds that for decades were the protagonists of Dominican politics, contrary to those who tried to become businessmen.

“Respecting the rule of law was one of the main commitments that I made with the Dominicans upon the arrival of the presidency,” he specified.

He stated that the old authorities were based on private interests above the general interest and assured that they cannot want to return to the presidency of a country, where they did not solve the problems.

«Their time has passed and although today they try to deceive us again… Dominicans have memory and know that where they are best is the opposition. Because from the opposition they can shout but I can’t harm people’s lives and they can’t take advantage of the government », he said.

Delivery of certificates

With the presence of the head of state, the authorities of the ruling party swore in their new authorities.

José Ignacio Paliza and Carolina Mejía were reelected as president and general secretary, respectively, of the PRM, at an internal convention on May 15.

Since the early hours of the day, hundreds of people, members of the PRM, have gathered for the call for the delivery of certificates, and applaud and shout messages of support and support for the organization and the Abinader government with a clamor.

In addition to all the members of the party, all the members of the Executive Directorate of the PRM are present, who, to a large extent, are part of this government administration.
