The Vega. The First Collegiate Court of this jurisdiction sentenced three men accused of committing crimes to 10 years in prison. assaults in different sectors of this city in 2018.
The sentence against Miguel Álvarez Domínguez, Luis Alberto Adames Ramírez and Ariel Canela Canela, indicated that they must serve their sentence at the La Vega Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR).
Judges Lucrecia Rodríguez, Julissa Candelario and Juana Patricia Silverio reached the decision after the Public Ministry established in the merits trial that the accused were associated to commit those criminal acts.
Álvarez Domínguez and Adames Ramírez were arrested on April 23, 2018, at approximately 7:00 p.m., in the Villa Lora sector, after intercepting and seizing a mobile phone from Laury Mercedes Acosta, who later recovered the device with the help of of people who were in the place.

While Canela Canela was arrested on November 22 of the same year, around 7:10 in the morning, in the Federico Basilis sector, after he assaulted Jocelyn Altagracia Morel Díaz with a firearm, while she was on her way to to your workplace.
Juan Domingo Rodríguez Canela, who was declared in absentia, is also involved in this incident.
According to the file, the defendants intercepted the woman and immediately pointed a gun at her and took her mobile phone.
The Public Ministry described the events as an association of malefactors and aggravated robbery, provided for and punished in articles 265, 266, 379 and 383 of the Penal Code.
