The closure of the Codelco Ventanas smelter plant by the Government of the President Gabriel Borichas generated reactions from different points of society, for some it is a necessary measure, for others it is leaving workers adrift.
One of the key actors in this process are the smelter officials, which is why members of the Codelco Ventanas union have held demonstrations since Saturday night, involving roadblocks on route F30.
