In order that the presidential elections, which take place this Sunday in Colombia, do not affect trade, the National Government, headed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, decided to move the commemoration of Father’s Day to June 26.
(Father’s Day date is changed and will be celebrated on June 26).
This decision was made at the request of Fenalco, the country’s trade uniongiven the restrictions on mobility and dry law for the development of voting, which coincide with the traditional date of Father’s Day.
After the Government’s approval to reschedule the celebration, Fenalco called on merchants to prepare for the last Sunday in June and prepare their special activities.
(Total sales on the day without VAT exceeded $10 billion).
It should be noted that during the day without VAT which took place last Friday, many Colombians were able to advance their purchases for dad’s celebration.
