The president of the Dear Fatherland Party, Sebastián Villarejo, said that the visit was to “give a vote of confidence to this new electoral process that is approaching.”
The candidate for the presidential chair visited the TSJE ministers, César Emilio Rossel and Jorge Bogarín González. The vice presidents of the PPQ, Mario Paz Castaing and Milciades Benítez, also participated in the meeting.
According to Villarejo, they approached the magistrates with several suggestions “to make the elections transparent, with tools such as the political financing law, which we talked about at the operational level and how to achieve appropriate regulations.”
Finally, the presidential candidate explained that in the event of a reengineering of directions within the state entity “we do not ask for positions, but rather to work in a plural and democratic manner with all sectors, in order to strengthen the institutionality of the TSJE,” he concluded.
