Santo Domingo.– The president of the People’s Force, Leonel Fernández, expressed that Dominican society is doubly in mourning for the death of Ivonne Haza and Frank Rodríguez.
He said this when he went to present his condolences to relatives of both personalities, of which he highlighted the contributions made to the country, each one in his line.
Regarding Frank Rodríguez, he pointed out that he directed the UNESCO Chair on water in the country, from which his expertise in the subject could be deduced, that he enjoyed the confidence of such a prestigious international organization, in addition to his literary parts, with the publication of books on this important sector.
«Frank Rodríguez, a personal friend of many years, who was a prominent official of our governments, especially a great specialist in water issues. Frank knew perfectly well everything related to the need to provide water, drinking water, but also irrigation water for producers. Everything that he had to do with hydroelectric plants, Frank Rodríguez was the person to go to to give advice, to promote politics, “said Fernández.
Around the figure of the artist Ivonne Haza, mother of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, Víctor (ITO) Bisonó; Leonel Fernández defined it as “a glory of Dominican art.” He said that with her a star that was a teacher and pride of several generations goes out.
«I saw him sing on numerous occasions and he always delighted, in classical music, classical music, he was also a teacher at the National Conservatory of Music and many graduates were proud to say: I was a student of Ivonne Haza del Castillo».
