Peña said that in addition to what Minister Ito Bisonó’s mother represented, with her talent and dedication to Dominican culture, she was part of his family.

Ivonne Haza began on stage in 1958, establishing a career spanning more than 50 years, both nationally and internationally.
The exquisite soprano appeared on stage for the first time on March 13, 1958, in the auditorium of the Instituto de Señoritas Salomé Ureña, interpreting El Mesías, by Georg Friedrich Händel, performed by Manuel Marino Miniño.
Known as “La Diva Dominicana”, Haza was director of the National Theater from 1982 to 1987. She was the main character in great operas and zarzuelas.
She was also director of lyrical singers of Fine Arts. She taught classes at the National Conservatory of Music. She was awarded by the Dominican Order of Duarte de Sánchez y Mella from the Dominican Republic and the Order of Merit from Italy.
In 2016 he was awarded the ‘Acroarte for Journalistic Merit’ Award by the Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte).
