On the night of this Thursday the 16th in a plaza in Barros Blancos, in the department of Canelones, a man was shot nine times, after a group approached on several motorcycles and opened fire on the victim, as reported by the Headquarters of Canelones.
The homicide occurred around 9:00 p.m. in the plaza of the Canarian city, which is located between Ariel and Florencio Sánchez streets. The victim was 32 years old and had a criminal record.
From the Headquarters of Canelones they assured that due to the way in which the homicide took place, they rule out that it was a robbery.
The investigation is in charge of the prosecutor Silvia Blanc, Departmental Prosecutor of Pando of the 1st shifttogether with police personnel, and intends to identify the perpetrator(s) of the homicide.
Staff from the 25th police section, staff from the Homicide Department and Scientific Police worked at the scene.
