We still don’t learn

We still don't learn

The expression that “we never finish learning in Paraguay, we always stumble over the same stone” seems to be confirmed with the launch of the President of the Republic to be president of the Colorado Party, a position -by far- less relevant than the that he has to perform by popular mandate. He violates the Constitution that tells him that he has to dedicate himself exclusively to the task of the president, and he cannot accept anything that distracts from that work of the President.

The argument that some put forward saying that he can run for office and not take office is even worse, because a plebiscite is held for a position that is not going to be exercised, with which the voter who goes to the elections is deceived, can choose him and can end up saying “but I chose you for a position that you did not end up assuming because you would still be recording your constitutional situation even more.”

Specifically and clearly, what people should understand is that the President should not distract from his merger with anything, and that is final, emphatic, forceful in the Constitution of our country that turns thirty next Monday, June 30.

There is no need to add anything to this. We already had the experience with Duarte Frutos, who even along the way destroyed the Superior Court of Electoral Justice and the Supreme Court of Justice itself, both his servants, who ended up tremendously affected by the decisions they made.

All these things would have to be learned and not have to repeat them for a while, however the low quality of our leadership, the little concept of respect for the Constitution that guides us in Paraguay means that these issues are of daily repetition and permanent.

Unfortunate for the Republic.
