Officials from the Chamber of Senators will demonstrate tomorrow, Friday at 1:00 p.m., in front of the Public Ministry. The reason is to demand greater speed in the investigations into a possible case of fraud that affected the officials
Rodrigo Ferreira, one of the organizing officials of the demonstration, reported that there are more than 150 workers from Congress and the Senate who were defrauded by the Cooperative of the Legislative Power and the Chamber of Senators. This financial institution is currently liquidated.
«The cooperative did not pay the money they deducted. They worked with several commercial houses where they were credit intermediaries. They did not use their funds but rather outsourced the loans. We accessed the loans and the cooperative, as an intermediary, presented a form to the administrative directorate and we were automatically discounted », he explained.
Despite the discount, the leaders of the cooperative did not pay the payment to cover the loan. Due to this situation, the entities that worked with the cooperative demand money that, in theory, was already discounted from the officials at the time.
For this reason, around 150 civil servants suffer seizures of G. 5 million to G. 10 million to settle a debt that in theory they canceled at the time.
The three causes are as follows; the 2368/2018 that is in the Penal Unit 15 in charge of the prosecutor Sonia Mora. The 6646/2021 of the Penal Unit 8 in charge of the prosecutor of Carmen Bogado. And the 1860/2022 Penal Unit 12 Luz Analía Guerrero.
According to the interviewee, it is estimated that G. 9,950 million was embezzled by the cooperative between credits, contributions and savings accounts.
