FIFA announces 2026 World Cup host cities

FIFA announced on Thursday night (16) the list of 16 host cities for the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in Canada, Mexico and the United States. This competition has another special component, as it will be the first edition of a World Cup with 48 participants.FIFA announces 2026 World Cup host cities

In Canada, the headquarters will be Vancouver and Toronto. In Mexico, the matches will be played in Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City. While in the United States the teams will play in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami and New York.

“We congratulate the 16 World Cup host cities for their outstanding commitment and passion. Today is a historic day, for everyone in these cities and states, for FIFA, for Canada, the US and Mexico, who will put on the greatest show on Earth. We look forward to working together with them to deliver what will be an unprecedented and game-changing World Cup as we strive to make football truly global,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
