Venezuela and Bolivia install consular consultation mechanism

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Plurinational State of Bolivia installed this Thursday the mechanism of consular consultations to expeditiously attend to the requests of migrant nationals between the two countries.

The activity held at the Casa Amarilla in Caracas was headed by the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña; the Vice Minister of Institutional and Consular Management of Bolivia, Eva Chuquimia and the ambassador of the Andean country in Venezuela, Sebastián Michel, accompanied by representatives of the Venezuelan institutions in charge of migration issues.

Vice Minister Peña through his Twitter account @RanderPeña gives details of the meeting: “We received the Vice Chancellor of Institutional and Consular Management of Bolivia, Eva Gloria Chuquimia Mamani, with whom we reviewed consular issues between our countries, in the framework of the preparation of the III Joint Venezuela-Bolivia Integration Commission”, details in the post.

During the installation, the participants reviewed all the consular issues of both nations within the framework of the III High-Level Mixed Commission Venezuela-Bolivia that is about to take place.

Venezuela and Bolivia have consolidated a large bilateral work and cooperation agenda with the aim of sealing cooperation agreements in the commercial, tourist, energy and consular fields.

In the last year, more than 60 bilateral technical meetings have been held for the Third High-Level Joint Commission, in which specific projects and work plans will be presented for the benefit of both Bolivarian peoples, points out the press release from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.

Last month Bolivia and Venezuela signed a Joint Integration Declaration and established strategies for the promotion of Bolivian exports in Venezuela and Venezuelans in Bolivia.
