Iranian plane: Argentine judge asks Uruguay for information on the alert he received

Minister García said this Sunday that he himself made the decision “based on that information that was given about the moment.” “I, as Minister of Defense, (…) ordered by virtue of that information and the peremptory times of all the information that could not be checked, that it return, if there was no humanitarian reason, and that entry not be authorized. into Uruguayan airspace,” he explained at a press conference.

“It is information that the Ministry of the Interior had received from foreign agencies, which turned to Uruguay and, since the jurisdiction belongs to the Ministry of Defense, I am responsible for making that decision,” he added.

The Emtrasur flight arrived at the Ezeiza airport (Buenos Aires) last Monday June 6 at 3:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 7, the transport presented to the Argentine authorities a flight plan with destination in Caracas Maiquetia Airport, Venezuela. However, fuel companies Shell and YPF they did not allow him to refuel.

Wednesday June 8without the necessary fuel to travel to Venezuela, the flight plan was presented to travel to the Carrasco Airport in Uruguay, where the plane was rejected and returned to the Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires.
