The Royal Academy of Ballet of Holstebro, of Denmark, and the National Center of Art Schools of Cuba signed an artistic and educational cooperation agreement in Havana, according to official media on the island.
According to a note published on the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex), reviewed For the Prensa Latina (PL) agency, the director of the Central Jutland region dance group, Kent Sommer, held a meeting with Rolando Ortega, who heads the Cuban educational institution.

The cooperation agreement strengthened the exchange ties between the parties and evidenced the idea of continuing with similar meetings that enable the development of Cuban and Danish students and teachers, the media reports.
The representative of Denmark also spoke with the director of the National School of Dance, Lídice Arredondo, and learned about the possibilities of improvement that the students of the profile and the network of schools dedicated to the specialty have, adds the publication.
PL specifies that during his stay in Cuba, Sommer visited the National School of Balletas well as those of Dance and Circus to learn about the peculiarities of artistic education, current curricula and other topics of interest.
The publication recalls that in 2020 the Cuban ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García, received Kent Sommer himself at the diplomatic headquarters of Cuba and discussed there the experiences of the ballet of the largest of the Antilles in European territory.
On that occasion, the conversation also focused on the creative development of the new generations, the application of knowledge at a technical and artistic level, and the conception of spaces for professional growth, adds PL.
