The Minister of Public Works, Édgar Montaño, asked the workers of the former Administration of Airports and Auxiliary Services to Air Navigation (Aasana) of Santa Cruz, not to get carried away “by the winds of the coup.” The authority said that yesterday, during the protests of the sector at the Viru Viru International Airport, the president of the Pro Santa Cruz Committee, Rómulo Calvo, was seen.
“It is not known how they were destined, what pockets they went into. I will have to carry out the corresponding audits, but I already warned, before any stoppage or pressure measure begins: do not let yourself be carried away by the winds of the coup. These winds of coup yesterday took refuge right in the Santa Cruz union, Mr. Rómulo Calvo was there, ”Montaño told RTP.
He remarked that after four stoppages by Aasana, the intention was to “destabilize” the quality control audits to “make it look like Venezuela” and say that Bolivia “is unstable” and prevent the arrival of international flights and airlines.

“These four strikes that have been carried out in one management were agitated, and they aimed to destabilize our audit so that it resembles Venezuela, so that they say that Bolivia is unstable and that international flights cannot come from other countries and they were going to leave us that way ”, Asserted the authority.
Yesterday, the protests of the former Aasana continued in force in the country’s airports, due to the creation of the Bolivian Air Navigation and Airports Company (Naabol) in its replacement.
The event generated the outrage of Aasana workers, who warned that they will radicalize their protest measures.
