President Alberto Fernández considered that with the strengthening of the entire Vocational Training System, Specialization and Training of the country’s police “an important step is being taken to improve the educational quality” of the members of the security forces.

“We are taking an important step because we need to improve the educational quality and the improvement of professionals in the security area, especially in a world that requires more knowledge and more training every day” by state bodies, said the Head of State in a ceremony held at the Casa Rosada Bicentennial Museum, where he announced the signing of an agreement aimed at strengthening training for the security forces.

“This is auspicious news,” Fernández emphasized, accompanied by the ministers of Security, Aníbal Fernández, and of Education, Jaime Perczyk, and educational authorities and security forces from all over the country.

“In a rule of law, being able to carry out an efficient security policy and to do so respecting the rules is an essential condition. If this comes from a university study, let it be welcome”Alberto Fernandez

In this aspect, he considered that “in this case, we are facing a policy that takes on a particular importance because from now on the institutes are going to be treated as universities, which is what they should be.”

Fernandez then advocated “giving more quality every day not only to the universities of federal security forces but also to educational quality in all forces.”

Evaluated that the State must place “particular emphasis on the preparation of personnel” of these federal institutions, because “judicial policy is one thing and security policy is another, which are two completely different aspects and are often confused”.

“From now on the institutes are going to be treated as what they are, as universities.”

“In a rule of law, being able to carry out an efficient security policy and to do so, respecting the rules is an essential condition. If this comes from a university study, let it be welcome,” said Fernández.

Likewise, the President mentioned considerations formulated during the act by the two ministers who were present (Fernández and Perczyk), who agreed to recall that “a part of education is done virtually”, something that the president evaluated as a “success”.

“In many careers it is possible to develop and implement virtuality. Studies require constant practice. It is something we see in disciplines such as medicine, engineering and architecture. Distance education is more complex, but in studies that are more theoretical, such as that are followed in law or law, can perfectly be dictated from a distance,” he considered.

Fernández, at this point, said that a few days ago a student from the National University of La Plata (UNLP), who lived in the Buenos Aires town of Bolívar, had asked him to intercede with the authorities of that university in order to continue receiving classes. from a distance because the “demand to be present represented an enormous cost for her” such as “leaving her home and settling in another city”.

“A very important step is being taken in favor of democratic quality and the rule of law”Alberto Fernandez

For this reason, he urged “also to think about how many members of the federal security forces are distributed throughout the country” and affirmed that for them, “virtual education could well help to ensure that it is not interrupted by a move to another city” in the country.

“With which, there would be a need, and therefore a right, although some judges do not understand it and we could favor that a transfer of an officer does not interrupt their careers,” said the president in a clear reference to those made days ago. by Carlos Rosenkrantz, Vice President of the Supreme Court of Justice.

Consequently, he insisted that “A very important step is being taken in favor of democratic quality and the rule of law.”

Fernández, in another order, praised the creation of “new university disciplines such as this idea of creating the career of the detective, who is a central character in the elucidation of a crime and is welcome.”

Finally, the President valued “knowledge and the development of knowledge” and warned that “the system is not that people go to universities but that universities go to people, multiplying the number of universities is the best thing that It can happen to us.”

during the act four agreements were signed to be executed between 2022 and 2023 for a total amount of 39,500,000 pesos.

Among other initiatives, progress will be made in the modernization of virtual classrooms in the areas of software, hardware and in the training of teachers and those who make up distance education centers (CEAD).

In addition, trial simulation rooms will be built and progress will be made in improving biosimulation spaces for nursing, within the framework of the strategic courses taught at the Federal Police University Institute (IUPFA).

A career was also created that integrates the training of federal detectives, a decision that involved the creation of two university degrees with three cohorts made up of 180 police students, non-commissioned officers and officers.

Likewise, a bachelor’s degree in criminal investigation was created to start in March 2023 for all police personnel in federal and provincial activities.

Finally, a postgraduate specialization in complex crime investigation is in the diagramming stage, which will be presented at the Coneau in October of this year.
