Jorge Asjana, who aspires to the rectory of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), reported yesterday that if he reaches the position there will be a continuity of the work carried out by the teacher Emma Polanco at the head of the academy.
When celebrating his closing of the campaign in the main hall of the institution, the professor also highlighted that they will connect the Primate of America with society to continue contributing to the development of the Dominican Republic, with better trained young people and professionals who have an impact on the entire society.
“Our country has to continue moving in that direction and all of this will contribute to the well-being of the university family, our students, professors and administrative staff,” he said.
The medical professional said that within his lines of work is the application of an educational program by the President of the Republic and the legislative chambers to reduce acts of violence, and strengthen the academic training of the security forces. .
He stated that the country cannot fall into the hands of criminals, so an environment of harmony and peace must continue to be built because society does not want to continue losing its children.
He pointed out that they will work to strengthen the insertion of the university in the world of academic networks, to consolidate the purpose of exchange, cooperation and internationalization.
Likewise, he indicated that they will develop an evaluation process of all the regulations of the house of higher studies in order to update those that are required for a better functioning of the institutional order.
In the same way, he stressed that he will do everything necessary so that the state academy achieves the objectives of sustainable development, especially in the areas of social inclusion and attention to the environment.
Better option
The teacher who has the support of Emma Polanco, and the past rector Edylberto Cabral, assured that he meets all the conditions to direct the UASD, because the project he heads is prepared to work and not to hold positions.
“We go to the rectory because we are from school, from formal academic management, not from the trivial”, he explained.
He stated that the think tank should be run by fair-minded, experienced managers.
He says he will fulfill his campaign proposals
Jorge Asjana stated that from the rectory he will fulfill all his campaign promises for the benefit of the UASD.
“It is not about slogans that we are going to forget, many promise, promise vaguely, promise a little in the air; but this team is going to make the commitments our university needs,” he added. He said that he will work for the prestige of the academy, and for the well-being of the students and administrative servants.
