Voting abroad: This is how the second round progresses

This June 13, the polls were opened abroad, so that Colombians can go to their consulates to vote between Gustavo Petro and Rodolfo Hernandez. They will have until next June 18, that is, they will only have five days to exercise their vote.

With the opening of the localized voting point in Auckland (New Zealand), Canberra and Sydney (Australia) Tokyo (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea) began the second day of voting abroad of the second presidential round.

According to the Foreign Ministry, so far the Election day has been carried out under normal conditions.

The positions with the highest number of votes during the first day that had elapsed were: the consulate in Miami (United States) with 3398 voters, consulate in Orlando (United States) with 1242 voters, consulate in Madrid (Spain) with 944 voters and consulate in New York – Manhattan (United States) with 832 voters.

It should be noted that for this first day of elections abroad were attended by 19,934 nationals.

On the other hand, in the history of Presidential Tracking, Rodolfo Hernández wins with a very limited difference, of 3.1 percentage points, since when adding and averaging, the Santanderean achieves 47.3% and Petro 44.2%.

It is highlighted that this measurement was made for 10 days, in which 5,236 interviews were carried out in Colombian territory. Now, everything will be defined next Sunday, where the Colombians will choose the successor of Iván Duque.
