On May 23, at the Palacio de López, the Minister of Finance, Óscar Llamosas; The Vice of Economy, Iván Haas, and the head of Petropar, Denis Lichi, spoke with the President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, about the behavior of oil, the price of dollars, and the effects of both factors on fuel at the local level.
On the occasion they agreed to maintain the price until June 15 (this Wednesday), but expressed concern about the permanent fluctuations of crude oil.
Lichi reported that they decided to meet again in the same place before the 15th, to evaluate the numbers and that it is highly probable -although not certain- that it will establish a price increase.
Since then and even before, the private sector has been announcing an increase, which finally postponed it until this Wednesday, waiting for what the state oil company communicates, in order to avoid competing with a wide margin of disadvantage.
The entrance Petropar will review fuel price was first published in diary TODAY.
