10,667 new cases of Covid-19, with a positivity of 13.85 percent in the last 24 hours at the national level and 16.62 percent in the Metropolitan Region, is what the Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported this Saturday. Likewise, 45,041 patients are in the active stage of the disease and no region of the country has decreased its cases in the last seven and 14 days.
The regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Valparaíso, O’Higgins, Metropolitana, and Coquimbo, according to the sampling. Being the Atacama region the one that currently has the highest incidence per 100 thousand people
Meanwhile, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 22 deaths from causes associated with Covid-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 58,076 in the country.
Regarding hospitalizations, it was reported that 150 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Unitsof which 89 are with mechanical ventilation support. And in relation to the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 269 critical beds available.
