DNA announces changes in Mella and Benito

The Mayor’s Office of the National District (ADN) announced the change of address of Mella Avenue and Benito González Street as of this Saturday, June 11.

Mella Avenue must travel from East to West, while Benito González Street from West to East, as approved in Ordinances No. 08/2011 and 08/2021, respectively.

Due to the importance of the Colonial City, one of the most emblematic places in the National District and valuable in the tourism sector, it is necessary to implement changes that provide improvements in terms of mobility and road safety.

These improvements have been studied since 2006 with the Ciudad Colonial Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, which was carried out by the Lombardi & Associati firm and reviewed by other firms with vast experience, highlighting the proposal for road changes in the Colonial City and nearby sectors. This plan was approved by Ordinance No. 08/2011.

To execute this change, an educational stage will first be developed that will be accompanied by the Digessett and the National District City Council to inform both residents and visitors of this busy area.
