Peru vs Australia: How much money will the red and white receive if they qualify for Qatar 2022?

Just for qualifying for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, all the teams will win an initial briefcase with US$ 2 million, as a prize for belonging to the 32 teams that will compete for glory.

According to information from the Associated Press (AP), by playing in the group stage Peru would receive an additional US$9 million, the same as any team that is eliminated in the first round of the tournament.

What happens if Peru advances in the tournament?

If the red and white manages to qualify and overcome the group that they would share with France, Denmark and Tunisia, they would pocket an extra US$13 million for playing in the Round of 16 match.

The eight teams that make it to the Qatar 2022 Quarterfinals will be awarded an additional US$17 million. From now on, the prizes are broader, but depend on the performance of each team.

Fourth place will receive US$25 million. The bronze medal-winning team will walk away with $27 million. As for the finalists, the second place will receive US$30 million, and the world champion will win US$42 million.

What is the current value of the selection?

According to the specialized portal Transfermarkt, the Peruvian team is valued at 61.20 million euros. In the national team, the most valuable player is the holding midfielder Renato Tapia, whose price amounts to 10 million euros, according to the specialized portal Transfermarkt.

In second place is Pedro Aquino, who plays for América de México; and in third is Luis Abram, central defender who plays for Cruz Azul. Both are worth 6 million euros, respectively.

André Carrillo is the fourth most valuable player for the red and white team. The Al-Hilal winger from Saudi Arabia is valued at 5 million euros. Meanwhile, in fifth place is the national team’s scorer, Gianluca Lapadula, who plays for the Italian Benevento and his pass is valued at 4 million euros.
