On his way out of court Office of Permanent Attention of the National Districtthe magistrates Mirna Ortiz and Rosalba Ramos, they were satisfied with the judge’s decision to send for one year and as a measure of coercion a Miguel Cruz to the Najayo prison, for his connection to the assassination of the Minister of environment and natural resourcesOrlando Jorge Mera.
They also revealed that the research on the fact will be in charge of the National District Prosecutor’s Office who directs the Judge Rosalba Ramoswho will be responsible for presenting the final act of the investigations carried out by the authorities.
On her side, Mirna Ortiz, considered that the murder of Orlando Jorge Mera is a proven fact from the first stage of the judicial process, for which she understood that the Public Ministry will not have problems in supporting her accusation.

The lawyers of the family of Orlando Jorge Mera, who became the civil plaintiff yesterday (Friday), agreed with the judge’s decision on the request made by the Public Ministry, as well as the jurists who make up the defense of the accused for understanding that the most prudent thing for the parties is to let time advance and all the stages of the process are fulfilled objectively.
It is recalled that Minister Orlando Jorge Mera died last Monday when he was hit by six shots out of 13 fired by his childhood “friend”, Fausto Miguel de Jesús Cruz de la Mota, while both were in the official’s office.
