For almost a year, the ‘Río de los 7 Colores’ in Caño Cristales was closed, but now it reopens its doors to continue making tourists in Colombia and abroad fall in love with it.
It was determined that the place “already meets the ecosystem conditions and provides infrastructure” to allow the entry of tourists.
After a decision by the National Natural Parks of Colombia and the Municipal Mayor’s Office of La Macarena, they opened again.
From this Wednesday, after verifying that it meets the necessary conditions, it began to resume its tourist activity.
This attraction had been closed in November 2021 due to its climatic conditions, a time of drought that put it at risk if tourists are allowed to enter.
What can be done?
After its reopening, this attraction will be ready to receive up to 900 visitors a day and they will be able to do any of the 11 tourist trails.
In addition to this, it has around 25 hotels to stay in and will also be served by 29 local tourism operators in the area.
The areas that will be enabled are Laguna del Silencio, Raudal Angosturas I, Caño Piedra and Bajo Lozada.
The River of 7 colors also has a passive and recreational bath, as well as the sighting of the beautiful fauna that resides there.
The ecological horseback riding will also be available, which can be carried out in this nature reserve considered the most beautiful river in the world.
The visit will be with the utmost responsibility so as not to affect the fauna and flora, and continue to preserve this attraction for all people.
