The Ministry of Health (SSa) updated this Friday to 5 million 814,866 the accumulated official number of cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed in Mexico in the pandemic. The total death toll rose to 325,144 people.
The new records mean increases of 6,170 infections and 53 deaths, the agency explained in its daily technical report.
At the cutoff of information, 35,086 active cases have been recorded in the country, with an incidence of 27 per 100,000 inhabitants. However, authorities estimate there could be 37,292 active patients.
The states with the highest incidence rates are Baja California Sur, Mexico City (leader of accumulated cases), Sinaloa, Yucatán, Quintana Roo, Colima, Nuevo León, Aguascalientes, Nayarit and Baja California.
