The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, asserted this Friday that the voice of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua was in the streets of the People’s Summit in Los Angeles, United States, despite being excluded from the Summit of the Americas.
“Our voice has been there, the voice of the rebellious peoples of our America, of Cuba, of Nicaragua, of Venezuela has been in the streets of Los Angeles,” said the president in a video recorded from Iran to congratulate the Summit of Los Pueblos, which he cataloged as “the true summit of Los Angeles.”
The president thanked the social organizations of the United States and other Latin American countries for the People’s Summit, which was held between June 8 and 10 with discussion sessions and reflection on sovereignty, self-determination of peoples, rejection of imperial sanctions and policies, among other points.
“I want to thank you for all the solidarity of the People’s Summit in Los Angeles and you can be sure that Venezuela has resisted. It is advancing and recovering, that Venezuela is on its feet, fighting and victorious, overcoming threats, aggression, the arrogance of unilateral sanctions, coercive, monetary, financial and political measures, “he added.
Maduro affirmed that there is a “world beyond imperial arrogance”, and it is the one that emerges based on dialogue, respect, equality of States, inclusion for “a new humanity”.
The head of state, who is in a eurasian tourcriticized Washington’s attempt to silence the voice of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua by banning the Summit demonstrations.

On the international tour that has taken him to Turkiye, Algeria and Iran, he indicated that he has been “dialoguing in depth with the government, with the peoples, learning from experiences.”
“And recognition, seeing with our eyes, that there is another world far beyond. That the world is much bigger than the arrogance and arrogance of Washington, the arrogance and arrogance of a decadent empire that wants to behave as if it were still the hegemonic and dominant empire of the world and of Our America,” he added.
He stressed that the time of US domination has passed and “must be cancelled.” He affirmed that the peoples of America are choosing their own path “in the diversity of the struggle.”
Maduro reiterated that despite the threats and sanctions, Venezuela registered its first steps of economic recovery last year and this 2022, and promised that the country is heading towards the expansion “of the comprehensive recovery processes.”
“No one can exclude our voice and silence it from the streets. Do not delude yourself. We are on our feet, ready to continue articulating the fight, joining forces and moving forward », she affirmed.
