Cancer patients announce a demonstration for the lack of medicines

Once again, cancer patients are forced to demonstrate due to the lack of supplies and medicines to continue with their treatments.

For this Monday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m., in front of INCAN, cancer patients and family members plan to hold a peaceful demonstration.

The protest is due to the fact that since March, numerous patients have interrupted their chemotherapy treatments due to the lack of necessary drugs.

They also claim the lack of reagents to access immunohistochemical studies

“We have had some progress, but we are always lacking medicines, which is essential to continue with the treatments,” said Juana Moreno, secretary of the Association of Cancer Patients and Family Members, in a conversation with Universo 970 AM of Grupo Nación Media.

It added that the very high cost drugs that patients cannot access.
