The congresswoman from Together for Peru Sigrid Bazan rated the message to the nation of the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, as “insufficient” to clarify the alleged unofficial encounters that the head of state held with businessmen and senior officials in a house located in the Sarratea passage, in the Breña district.
“We believe that there are many doubts and it is necessary to make transparent, not through a message to the nation, but through an investigation what meetings, for what purposes and how these meetings are being carried out, different from those that should be in the Palace. (…) We are sure that this will be clarified and has to be done accordingly. Without a doubt, the message to the nation has been insufficient ”, Bazán declared to Canal N.
Along the same lines, the parliamentarian from Together to Peru deplored that the president did not take advantage of the message to the nation to provide explanations “That many of us expected and unfortunately it was not done.”

“The people need, Mr. President, that you not only be transparent, but also put order. Many of those people who opted for this Government today are also claiming their rights. Today we are as congressmen in a week of representation and while some of us are trying to work, others are making plans to seize power improperly ”, Bazán added in reference to the vacancy motion promoted by Congress.

In another part of the interview, Sigrid Bazan reiterated that the Juntos por el Perú caucus will not support the motion for presidential vacancy that is promoted from the opposition to the Government of Pedro Castillo.
“The instability, the lack of predictability, the distancing of investments, all this noise, all this thing generated by that vacancy motion is something unjustifiable and is something detrimental to citizens,” said Bazán Narro.

“I do believe that a vacancy motion at this time does not help at all what the coup vacancies say they want. They say they want a better country, economic stability, but a vacancy motion is not and will not achieve that, “he added.
