We regret to inform that Julio Lira Segura, journalistic director of the newspaper Gestión, passed away this Friday, June 10, as confirmed by said editor.
Lira had 30 years of experience in economic journalism. He arrived at the newspaper Gestión in 1992 and worked as an analyst, editor of Economydeputy general editor, general editor until ascending to journalistic director.
formed the Latin American Economic Journalism Network (RIPE)which was born in Lima in June 2011 and brings together the main business newspapers in the region.
In addition, Lira was a Bachelor of Economics, graduated from the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM) and participated in various seminars on economic journalism.
For those who wish to say a last goodbye to the renowned economic journalist, his funeral will be at the wake of the Carmelite Parish Francisco del Castillo 185 (reference Av. Benavides with Republic Walk), starting at 9 in the morning.
