The former Minister of Energy of the macrismo Juan José Aranguren fired this Thursday criticism towards the legislators of Together for Change who made complaints against the Néstor Kirchner gas pipeline tenderto connect the Vaca Muerta deposit in Neuquén with the rest of the country, because he said they have “total ignorance” of the subject.
“Some legislators repeat the arguments of (former Productive Development Minister Matías) Kulfas, with total ignorance, confusing the pipe with the diameter; they are technical issues,” said Aranguren.
In this context, he pointed out that “they are doing Argentina a disservice if politics is going to get involved in designing a gas pipeline,” in an interview last night on the TN channel.
“You cannot use the plate of a kitchen or a refrigerator to transport forty million cubic meters at one hundred kilograms per square centimeter of pressure”
Thus he referred to the complaints filed by the deputies of Together for Change Graciela Ocaña and Waldo Wolff, and the head of United Republicans of the City of Buenos Aires, Yamil Santoro.
The Apolo Foundation, linked to Santoro, filed the first complaint against the members of the board of directors of Energía Argentina (Enarsa), based on information about irregularities in the gas pipeline tender presented by Kulfas.
On the other hand, Ocaña and Wolff denounced before the Justice the alleged irregularities in the construction of the gas pipeline and requested that the former minister’s statements, which led to his departure from the cabinet, be investigated.
In the court filing, the legislators of Together for Change compiled both the message via social networks from Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, as well as the public statements of Kulfas himself in relation to an alleged delay in the construction of the gas pipeline.
In the statements made on Wednesday night, Aranguren assured that, “having read the tender, it is not different from all those that have been issued.”
Ocaña and Wolff reported to the Justice the alleged irregularities in the construction of the gas pipeline and requested that the statements of the former minister be investigated
“If the former Minister of Production considered that the tender was made in a rigged manner, from February 24, when the tender was launched, until March 31, when the offer was presented, and until April 24, when the only offer that was presented, had time to have said it, ”said the former macrismo official.
In addition, he pointed out that “naval plate cannot be used”, responding to one of Kulfas’s proposals.
In this regard, he explained that, for the construction of the gas pipeline, “a special plate is used, an alloy of steel, carbon and manganese that has to withstand a pressure of one hundred kilograms per square centimeter.”
“You cannot use the plate of a kitchen or a refrigerator to transport forty million cubic meters at one hundred kilograms per square centimeter of pressure”Aranguren stressed.
