The Minister of Health, Luis F. Sucre, together with the representative of Pedregal, Elías Cárdenas, toured the land where a new Health Center will be built for this district, which will be donated by the Community Board.
Sucre also indicated that the painting work on the exterior of the health center is being supervised and the painting of the interior part is being scheduled with the Medical Directorate, so that the work does not affect the operation and to continue providing care to the population.
“Today we are coordinating with the representative of Pedregal, the programming for the signing of the agreement so that the land of the Board officially passes to MINSA and planning when we can start the work, since these facilities are falling a little short,” Sucre pointed out. .
Ofelia Chang, director of the Pedregal Health Center indicated that the building is already more than 40 years old, the population has increased drastically, so a new facility with more space and more medical specialties is needed for the benefit of the population of Pedregal.
For his part, Elías Cárdenas, representative of Pedregal, indicated that because Pedregal has a population of more than 80,000 inhabitants, this medical center has become too small, therefore the Community Board will responsibly donate land to the Ministry of Health. for the construction of the new infrastructure.
