The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, arrived in Algeria on Wednesday as part of his Eurasian tour that began in Türkiye.
Along with the first combatant Cilia Flores and the official delegation that accompanies him, the head of state was received with honors at the Algiers airport by Prime Minister Aiman Benabderrahmane.
“We arrived in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, within the framework of our International Agenda,” the president wrote on Twitter.
The president arrived in Algiers after passing through Türkiye, where he strengthened cooperation ties, met with his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and signed new deals in tourism, agriculture and finance.
In March of this year, Venezuela and Algeria celebrated 51 years since they formally established bilateral ties through the exchange of notes between their representatives at the United Nations in New York.
Both countries share a Mixed Commission in which they have established strategic agreements in different areas.
