Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) located and destroyed a deposit with 10,000 liters of fuel for Jet A-1 aircraft installed by Armed Terrorist Narcotrafficking groups of Colombia (Tancol) on the banks of the Tarra River, Zulia state.
The information was released by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his account on the social network Twitter, in which he explained that the procedure was carried out as part of the Catatumbo Lightning Operation.
Likewise, the FANB dismantled a Tancol camp at the mouth of the Tarra River in Zulia state, “which served as a deposit of war material for the nefarious purposes of terrorism,” added the head of Ceofanb.
For its part, in the Semprún municipality, Zulia, the FANB destroyed a camp with numerous war materials and accessories, “which served as a logistics supply point and an instruction area.”
Hernández Lárez specified that in these procedures the military troops have destroyed camps, “deposits of explosives, Peruvian detonators, American weapons, Colombian indumil ammunition and many other materials of operational interest to the Tancols.”
“Structures may not be established for war purposes or to support any terrorist faction in our country. Venezuela is a territory of peace. The invaders will be expelled and their facilities will be destroyed », he stressed.
These FANB actions aim to eliminate any trace of the country’s Colombian drug-trafficking terrorist groups, under the premise of declaring 2022 as the year 100% free of the Tancols, an instruction carried out by the national president, Nicolás Maduro, who ordered the removal of to these groups throughout the national territory.
