The Government confirmed this Monday the payment of a bonus of 8 thousand pesos to the beneficiaries of the Boost Work plan, which will allow just over a million people Count on that extraordinary income for the end of the year holidays and as the closing of a cycle still marked by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Ministry of Social Development confirmed that on December 20, as a bonus, that bonus will be paid that is equivalent to half of the monthly remuneration for the beneficiaries of the Empower Work, whose amount is 16,612 pesos.

This asset represents 50% of the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary, updated by the National Council of Employment, Productivity and Salary (from October it is 31,938 pesos and from February, 32,616 pesos).

“The Executive always analyzes to improve, assist and be next to the Argentines who are having a bad time”, said the Minister of Social Development, Juan Zabaleta, to the journalists accredited in Casa Rosada.

Zabaleta also held a meeting with the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzur, and assured that this bond is part of a set of decisions that the Government will announce progressively.

In addition, he confirmed that the joint work with the Ministry of Labor, led by Claudio Moroni, continues for the design of jobs that replace social plans and, with this objective, agreements have already been signed in the construction and gastronomic areas.

Budget

For this year the Government expanded the Budget by $ 1.277 trillion, destined 70% to retirements, salaries, social programs and subsidies, and 30% to public policies, through decree 809/2021.

The budget expansion of $ 1,277,212,656,463 has its largest item for the Ministry of Labor for $ 271,041,740,407 of which $ 261,341,175,127 are for the National Social Security Administration (Anses) to face the payment of pensions.

In second place, the Ministry of Territorial Development appears, with $ 187,788,206,457 of which $ 122,794,515,719 are for Procrear and $ 58,032,383,951 for social housing.

The Ministry of Social Development will receive extraordinary resources for $ 115,217,536,814 that will be distributed between food policies, $ 42,645,886,000; and the Empower Work program, $ 59,849,572,346.

“The government of President Alberto Fernández has never hesitated to invest resources to improve the lives of our people and during the (coronavirus) pandemic, which have been very difficult months, it has never had a policy that has shrunk. The driving idea of ​​converting state aid into assets, as compensation for formal work, has already made progress in conversations that Social Development held with the Union of Workers of Construction (Uocra), the Argentine Chamber of Construction, and the seven Hotel Chambers and Gastronomic, and the Government hopes to formalize in the coming months the incorporation of these sectors to various proposals of the Empower Work.

The Maximum objective is “to formalize the work of some 6.4 million Argentines”, in a path that has already scored among its achievements about 50 thousand labor contracts signed in just 2 months with small and medium-sized agricultural companies.

Last October, through Decree 711/2021, the Government made official the measure that seeks to convert social plans into genuine and registered employment in the private sector, transforming benefits or precarious jobs into “incentives for hiring” in the form of “Registered salaried employment in the private sector”.

The State maintains its contribution of the 14,500 pesos of the Empower Work program as the base salary and the rest – to reach the agreed salary – is provided by the producers, entrepreneurs, contractors or businessmen who join the initiative.

Another form of state support is expressed in the My Piece Program, which in December will have its second draw to define the winners of a proposal that offers women living in popular neighborhoods the possibility of expanding, making repairs and repairs to their homes through of two lines of financing, for 100,000 or 240 thousand pesos.

In a first draw More than 35 thousand women were already winners and on December 1 it will be the turn of the second.

“The strategic importance of My Piece is that it seeks to reverse critical situations, which are the product of structural poverty,” they explained from the Ministry of Social Development, aware that 43.5% of the new registrants declared to live in a state of overcrowding.

On more than one occasion, President Alberto Fernández called to “promote registered employment” and expressed his aspiration that those who “today are beneficiaries of plans can be employed in private activity without losing that right.”

“Changing plans for employment should be our first objective. In this way we will be fighting head-on the poverty that today has engulfed millions of Argentine families,” declared the President.
